Class Descriptions

Munchkins
 
(ages 4 to 5)
 
Emphasis on fun, sharing time and developing hand eye coordination.
 
Beginners
 
(ages 5 to 6) and (ages 8 to 12)
 
First time player, emphasis on fun, developing hand eye coordination; introduction to the proper stroke production.
 
Advanced Beginner  (Ages 8 to 12)
 
Player has had previous tennis experience and can perform some of the basic tennis strokes. 
 
High School Beginners 
 
The high school player that is interested in developing their tennis skills.
 
Futures/Novice Tournament Level
 
(Ages 7 to 12)
 
Previous tennis experience required. Can get the ball at a slow pace. Familiar with basic positions for singles.
 
Tournament Level
 
Competitive drills, match play points, footwork and mental strategy. Tournament participation encouraged.

Summer Evening Camp:

Invitational Camp (All Day):  June 18 to July 26

Sessions must be paid in full prior  to the first class of each sessions.

 

 

The season will consist of six  (6) week sessions

 

Only the Director of Tennis may approve credits

 

Fall and Winter indoor classes will be held at Evergreen Racquet and Fitness, 2701 West 91st Street., Evergreen Park, IL

 

Spring Into Summer outdoor classes will be held at Morgan Park High School Tennis Courts: 111th and Vincennes (1744 West Pryor Avenue)

 

All classes will have a 6:1 student--teacher ratio.
